Abortion and the Rights Fight

The Republicans and the extreme right are starting off 2014 with a bang. The march on Washington on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade will set the tone. I am not a big believer of a person forcing his or her belief on another I believe it to be wrong morally and ethical. However, the people on the right (Republicans) feel that it is okay as long as they do so under cover of free speech.

I say that is not true it is never okay to force your belief on another. No matter the issue, abortion, how you feel about LGBT community or Religion. But I digress I wanted to talk about abortion. I want to say to the pro-lifers get a life. The woman who  chooses to have an abortion should be the least of your concerns. Because if you are a good Christian you follow what the Bible teaches.

Matthew 7-1-7-5

1Judge not, that ye be not judged.2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam [is] in thine own eye?5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Luke 6-37

Luke 6:37- Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Romans Chapter 2-1-2-3

1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

I found over 21 verses that say’s that the pro-lifers are wrong for forcing his or her belief on others. The intentions maybe good but the Bible does not distinguish good intentions and the fact that you are judging other people(women). In fact you do not have to stand with her when she meets her maker and he passes judgment however you do need stand before him when he passes judgment on you.  When you pro-lifers stand out side abortion clinics and make it harder for women to control their own body Remember what Jesus did he faced a mob that was eager to execute a woman caught in adultery. He put a stop to it with a simple challenge.

John 8:7

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
